Members of AVCA showed their heartfelt appreciation to Ben Williams on this occasion for all the support and practical help and advice provided by him and KWT since AVCA's inception in 2007.  AVCA was delighted that Ben was able to attend what was a very enjoyable time.  Thanks to Lucy Mumford for providing her cafe as the venue and to Elaine Stuckey for providing a brilliant buffet.

International Dawn Chorus Day Walk

To celebrate the Wildlife Trust International Dawn Chorus Day, 13 AVCA members took to the hills above Cwmaman to witness the Welsh dawn chorus in its full glory.

Led by Martin, a real nature enthusiast, the group encountered a number of different birds and listened to a variety of birdsongs as the sun rose over the Aman Valley.

Guided Heritage Tour of Cwmaman

Free refreshments were available afterwards at the Falcon!!

Fourteen people joined us on this guided heritage tour of Cwmaman, tofind out more about local historical sites and buildings. We used public paths to make the walk fairly manageable, although access to the Ironworks could prove a bit difficult.
